Here at Good People Hair Co., the safety of our clients and our staff is a top priority for us.

We’re taking all current COVID guidelines very seriously and will be closely following the protocols and requirements for salons — and we’ll be looking to our fellow good people to do the same.

We’re in this together! Our sincerest thanks for your patience in advance.

Please excuse our dust: While the salon interior is not yet perfectly polished, the important stuff is in place and we’re thrilled to have you join us soon.

Our current COVID-19 strategies and polices will remain readily available for all new and existing clients to review anytime. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns — we’re here to help. 

Q: What should I do if I booked an appointment but I’m feeling ill and/or have a pending COVID-19 test?

A: Please do not come in for services if you are feeling ill, if you think you may have spent time with a person who has COVID-19, if you are worried you’ve been exposed, or if you have a pending COVID-19 test. You have our promise that we are following these guidelines as well. We have all read the stories about salons being shut down again due to a sick stylist or a sick client — let’s all do our part to stay safe and stay open!

Q: What should I do when I arrive for my appointment?

A: Please enter the building and come up to our salon suite either via the stairs or elevator. Please ensure that your mask is securely in place before entering the salon. You’ll then check in with your stylist at our sanitation station, have your temperature taken, and complete your health questionnaire before your appointment begins.

Q: Will I be required to wear a mask?

A: Yes, masks are required — and this is non-negotiable. We as staff members will be wearing masks as well. Please come prepared with a mask that loops around your ears. We have been working on smiling with our eyes!

Q: Will I be required to have my temperature taken?

A: Yes, temperatures will be taken upon your arrival as part of your health questionnaire. We as staff members will be taking our temperatures every day as well.

Q: Why do I need to complete a health questionnaire before my appointment?

A: All Good People clients will be required to complete a health questionnaire before beginning services, which will include acknowledging the risk of having salon services done during these strange COVID times as well as promising us you are not knowingly sick when you come in for services.

We promise not to come to work sick and it is our expectation that any client who is sick or has any concerns for their health will not come in for services.

Let’s respect each others’ health and safety — we hope we can count on you!

Q: Am I allowed to bring a friend or child with me?

A: Due to the requirements for capacity and distancing, we can only welcome clients into the salon at this time. No guests or children will be allowed right now. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Q: Will refreshments and items like magazines be available?

A: Due to the requirements for nonessential, shared items that cannot be easily disinfected, we must discontinue beverage and refreshment services as well as remove any magazines or other shared items. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Q: Which steps are staff taking to maintain a safe environment?

A: Sign(s) will be posted at the entrance informing clients not to enter if they are or have recently been sick. Active in-use workstations will be separated by at least six feet from one another. We are asking our clients are asked to remain in their vehicles or outside at a safe physical distance while waiting for their appointment to be called. Temperatures will be taken each day before staff begin seeing clients. Staff are required to wear a mask while providing services to clients. Frequent handwashing and sanitizing will be performed throughout the workday. Sanitization and disinfecting tasks will be thoroughly completed between client visits.
